ChurchWiseAI Vision & Mission
Last updated: March 2026 Status: Pre-launch, 0 paying customers, system launch-ready
Mission
Free pastors from administrative burden so they can do the work only humans can do: shepherd people.
Churches are drowning in logistics. The average pastor is receptionist, IT department, volunteer coordinator, and counselor before lunch on Sunday. 85% of first-time visitors never return. 40-60% of inbound calls go unanswered during business hours. 62% of churches have no system for visitor follow-up.
ChurchWiseAI exists to close that gap with AI that hears needs, empathizes before offering solutions, connects people to the right resources, and captures every interaction so no one falls through the cracks.
The Category We Are Creating
Church Relationship Intelligence.
This is not a chatbot company. Not a phone answering service. Not another SaaS tool pastors have to learn. ChurchWiseAI is an AI-powered relationship layer between a church and its community.
Where CRMs track records, we track relationships. Where phone trees route calls, we have conversations. Where contact forms collect dust, we capture intent and emotion in real time -- across voice and text, 24/7.
The HEAR Protocol
Every interaction follows four principles:
- Hear -- Listen fully, don't interrupt, give space
- Empathize -- Name the emotion before doing anything else
- Advance -- Move the conversation forward (empathy alone is not a complete turn)
- Respond -- Connect to resources, invite next steps, capture what matters
This protocol is what separates ChurchWiseAI from every competitor. Others answer questions. We build relationships on behalf of the church and hand them back to humans at the right moment.
What Makes This Agentic
Most church technology is passive -- it waits for someone to find the right page, fill out the right form, call during the right hours. ChurchWiseAI is active.
The AI has 39 purpose-built ministry tools across 8 categories (visitor care, pastoral care, church info, communication, engagement, giving, children/family, admin). It logs prayer requests, captures visitor contacts mid-conversation, schedules appointments, finds small groups by life stage, pre-registers children for kids ministry, and generates weekly engagement reports.
It is not a search engine with a personality. It is a digital ministry assistant that takes action.

- Agent marketplace generating third-party developer revenue
- VetWiseAI and LegalWiseAI in development
- International expansion (Spanish-language, UK/Australia)
- Fine-tuned models per vertical, 60%+ cost reduction
Non-Goals
ChurchWiseAI will never:
- Replace pastoral counseling. The AI bridges to humans for sensitive conversations.
- Make theological claims autonomously. It reflects each church's theology (17 traditions supported), never asserts its own.
- Store data it doesn't need. No behavioral profiling, no third-party enrichment.
- Sell church data. Ever. Church data belongs to the church.
- Be a website builder. We are a care and communication layer.
- Compete with ChMS platforms. We integrate with Planning Center, Breeze, Rock RMS -- we don't replace them.
Why Now
- 91% of pastors support AI in church operations (Barna 2024)
- Millennials are 2x more likely to join tech-forward churches
- No competitor combines voice + chat + theological awareness + ChMS integration + agentic tools
- PewSearch's 218K+ listings give us a distribution moat -- every church in the US and Canada is already in the database
- The competitive window is open today. Enterprise players will build church verticals once the market proves out. We must own the category first.
Decision Filter
When evaluating any product or engineering decision, ask:
"Does this move us closer to being the Church Relationship Intelligence Layer?"
If not, it doesn't ship.
